i spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer, so i want my computer time to be a pleasant experience. due more to an historical accident (a particularly wonderful one) than anything else, i ended up using a pc instead of a mac. naturally, therefore, linux is my operating system of choice. it's more stable and capable than any commercial os i've used, and i love the open, helpful, cooperating spirit that free software allows people to have with one another.
