the main stage. there was a terrific jazz guitarist playing there.
after she finished her set, someone from the staff came out to say,
"let's give her a big round of applause. now remember, there are
donation boxes all around the site, so if you want to hear something
better next year, go make a contribution." i should have followed my
first instinct, and gone up on stage to chew him out for that. i
couldn't believe how disrespectful he was to her. hope she didn't
take it to heart; she was wonderful.
