if you have cats that go outside, fleas happen. my cat doesn't go outside, but i tried adopting a friend for her from the neighborhood. it didn't work out socially, and he brought fleas with him as an added bonus. this is a view of one of my socks. each of those black spots is a flea. ick. if you've never had a house full of these little things biting you, you can't imagine how awful it is. |

the flea bombs, lined up and ready for battle. i sprayed the house twice and bombed it twice, once with 9 bombs and once with 15. i inhaled large amounts of flea bomb during the second attack, and had an awful taste in my mouth all day. the fleas didn't seem to notice anything had happened. |

baby got a trip to the park while the flea bombs were (not) doing their stuff on the home front. |

she's calm in the carrier as long as the car isn't moving. anyway, all my attempts failed, and then i went on a trip for close to a month. baby got to stay at the kennel while i was gone, where she got a flea treatment, bath, pedicure, daily aerobics class, etc. poor peter was going to check on my place while i was gone, went in one time, and ran out covered with fleas from head to foot. he called me, and i found a great exterminator who went in and hit the fleas with superdeathserum 42, and it was finally over. moral: don't mess with fleas. call in the pros. do it now. |
