if you have cats that go outside, fleas happen. my cat doesn't go outside, but i tried adopting a friend for her from the neighborhood. it didn't work out socially, and he brought fleas with him as an added bonus. this is a view of one of my socks. each of those black spots is a flea. ick.

if you've never had a house full of these little things biting you, you can't imagine how awful it is.
