glenn won a pair of tickets to a show up north, so we made a day of it.

	after taking falls road north as far as it would go (and seeing buffalo on the way!), we made it to gettysburg. we drove around the park for a while, past little round top... comments (1)
	... and devil's den, but never saw a sign of a picnic table. comments (1)
	but when we got back to the park entrance, we found a rare open parking place next to the visitor's center... comments (0)
	... and a few steps from one of the only two tables we saw. what a beautiful day. comments (0)
	we moved on to our actual destination, the totempole playhouse, and a terrific performance of crimes of the heart. comments (0)
	we took a windy road over the mountains and stopped at the cozy restaurant, next to camp david and host to u.s. presidents since eisenhower, and stuffed ourselves at the best american buffet around. a great end to a great day! comments (0)
